Reverend Amir Tawadrous
Rev. Amir comes to us from Chicago, New York, Kuwait, and Egypt.
He studied at Minya University, before feeling a nudge to study at the Evangelical
Theological Semen-ary (ETSC) in Cairo.
He grew up in a Presbyterian family, a minority for sure in the Mid-East, so
his interest in violence in the name of religion comes naturally.
In September, 2015, Rev. Amir was among the planners of a conference in New York City about such violence.
Southridge and Argentine United are sharing this wonderful young man. He has a lot of energy and a lot of enthusiasm for bringing the Word to our congregations and anyone who will listen. He hopes people will come to our churches and get to know him and his love of our Lord.
Lorene Faulconer, Director of Music/Choir
Lorene grew up on a farm near Kinsley, Ks and came to Kansas City to study at the UMKC Conservatory of Music. She graduated with a Masters in piano and later studied organ with L. Joyce Hermann.
Lorene is married and is the mother of three. She and her husband are hardworking owners of Explorers Percussion and has been the organist at Southridge since 1988.
A maestro at the organ, the sounds of her music complete our services. Her ability to lead our small choir into making beautiful sounds is another example of her accomplishments. We are honored to have her in our midst.
